Pro‑Gest

The active ingredient in Pro‑Gest is papain which is derived from the papaya melon and is a marvelous digestant for proteins.*  Other ingredients include papaya seed meal, Russian Black Radish, and betaine hydrochloride in a base of dried extracted juice from the whole beet (including leaves) grown on organically treated soil where no chemical fertilizers or insecticides are used.  The betaine hydrochloride acts to supplement the natural hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

In the present day of refined, processed, treated and fragmented foods, our bodies do not have digestive juices of sufficiently high quality.  This is especially true of the stomach.  Many people over 30 years of age have a poor quality of hydrochloric acid, and without it are unable to properly digest foods.  If foods pass out of the stomach improperly digested, poor nutritional is contributed to because of inadequate assimilation.
