Application information: For most women, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoonful per day is sufficient.
Apply on moistened skin in thin skin areas such as inside the wrist spreading up
toward the elbow and underarm, side of the neck, inside the thighs and behind
the knees. Many women who get 'period headaches' report excellent results putting their hair up in a towel and applying at the
temples, behind the ears, and at the nape of the neck. For best results, it is
recommended to alternate the application area after several (3-4) days. The
amount used can be applied once a day or divided into two applications. |

Therefore, the amount a person may want to use should be adjusted accordingly. More about our Progestone™ Products: Our Aloe-based Yam creams are pleasant to use, moisturizing products that are easily absorbed into the skin, offering many natural, restorative health benefits for women - without dangerous side effects. The diosgenin complex of our PROGESTONE™ products provide the building blocks which the body needs to make its own hormones. Diosgenin is so close to being chemically identical to human progesterone that the body actually recognizes it as progesterone and puts it to work immediately. While we can not be sure how diosgenin works, it certainly produces all of the benefits that are unique to progesterone. Empirical evidence, as well as saliva hormone assays, indicates that diosgenin is able to "cascade" or convert to other hormones in the body. We are going to see some profound findings break through in "precursor" chemistry in the near future. This is the missing link between the effectiveness when going from natural remedies to pure pharmaceutical drugs. The body is probably the most brilliantly effective and powerful chemical manufacturing plant known to mankind. Many companies, however, have tried to standardize wild yam extracts to specific diosgenin levels hoping to equal or mimic prescription hormone activity. In theory this makes sense; in reality the body is much more sophisticated than this and utilizes many other substances in wild yam to fulfill its needs. Nature, with billions of years of biodiversification, contains potential no scientist can envision. This is why we take great care to offer you what nature intended you to have. Extraction methods of wild yams are critical to the effectiveness of the product. If you destroy some of the plants’ natural enzymes, peptides, or other phytosterols, you risk leaving behind many important phyto-chemicals the body needs to nourish itself. There are natural co-factor enzymes and co-enzymes that work with the so-called "active" components. Also, it is extremely important to know the background of the yams used. Today many yam-based products are extracted from harvested yams treated with fertilizers and pesticides, which may end up in the final extracts. Pesticides will mimic environmental pseudoestrogens and definitely destroy the endocrine balance producing undesirable side effects. You will not find pesticide or fertilizer residue in our products.
